Manifest it!
Posted by TastyKeish | Filed under Blog, Uncategorized
You can have whatever you want. I’m serious.
Just ask for it. Ask the universe, talk to a higher spiritual being of your choice, tell a friend, tell many friends! That’s the first step and based on my opinion and personal experience, it puts you in touch with like minded folks. People willing to share information or pass along a request, etc.
Second, you can’t just wake up all willy nilly and say, “I want a million dollars.” What are you DOING to get that million dollars? Let’s take me for example. I’ve been working on various projects and talking to different people and opening myself up to learning new things daily. One of the main things I wanted with my whole heart was to cover the SXSW indie arts festival in Austin, Texas. At the time, I had no idea how it was going to happen but I kept putting the message out into the world and I continued to put out consistent good work covering music around NYC and just like that, the website I blog for asked me if I would like to join them in covering SXSW.
Now, ask yourself again….what have you done for the million dollars?
In the end, it’s never about that immediate want. It’s not about that trip, it’s not about money, it’s not about that big ticket item. For me, it turns out the journey to the goal was as fulfilling as the manifestation itself. Somehow, I always end up on some crazy adventure.
Wish me luck at SXSW! Login to SocietyHAE.com to follow my video updates all week!

I save $, I clip coupons, I stay fly…
Posted by TastyKeish | Filed under Blog, Uncategorized
I’m always looking for ways to keep my money. After rent, bills, and getting my hair permed there isn’t much left. So I recently started clipping coupons! I’ve been giving my twitter friends updates on my different shopping adventures with coupons or encountering sales, it’s only fair I share them here!
I went to the supermarket a few weeks ago. For this to really work you have to be loyal. Pick a decent brand name supermarket near your home, or you’ll never go and then what’s the point (remember that gym membership you never used…)?
Get a membership card. It takes two mins at the checkout and chances are you probably have at least one already.
Check out mines, I’ve lived near all of these stores at one point and I keep them in case I’m in the neighborhood and need something.
Right Now, i’m using the Pathmark Card cause they have a lot of sales, they’re near my apartment. I’ve found that going on their website, you can make a shopping list and print it out.
1. Make a list of ONLY things that are on sale that you want. Resist temptation. There will be enough of that when you get there.
2. Turns out the site has lots of different categories you may not see at first glance. I clicked the Black History Month circular and found more sales/ coupons in there!
3. Pay attention to the WEB ONLY coupons. you often have to print these out but EDY’s ICE CREAM FOR $1.50 and BROCCOLI for .69 cents is worth it!
Aight so check it….all that is cool, but what if you get there and the item you want on sale is gone?!? Do NOT walk away, stay right there. Actually go get a store circular, bring it to CUSTOMER SERVICE and ask for a RAINCHECK. At Pathmark it looks like this:

Check it out…look at the green highlight. That’s the sale price for a milk that is easily double the price! Now look at the yellow highlight. That means you can buy up to FOUR of that item during your next visit at the SALE price even if it’s not on sale anymore. So hold on to that rain check for dear life!
**Bonus story: I had a rain check for a different milk for $2.49 and then, I had a $1.00 OFF coupon on top of that. I end up getting milk that retails for $4.99…for $1.50! If I was smart, I would have stocked up. But that’s ok, I’m learning.**
Let’s fast forward to the end of the trip….the part where I get to the cashier. I have a few regular coupons, but most of my stuff is from the store sale. I noticed Pathmark has a lot of items under the AMERICA’s Choice brand aka store brand aka no-frills. I get things like canned beans, garbage bags, soda for when I like to scare my bourgie friends etc…
WELLLLLLL, If you accumulate $25.00 worth of store brand purchases overtime, the store will give you $5.00 dollars towards your next trip!
Look closely or click on the pic. Highlighted in orange, you’ll see that I reached my goal and I’ll be getting $5.00 in free food during my next visit! THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!
Highlighted in pink though, is what I’m most proud of….how much I saved. I saved about $47.00 on this shopping trip! I could go get a pair of nice jeans, I could go out to dinner with a friend, I could SAVE it, or I could go get my hair permed!
Bonus, Bonus info: Don’t let them fool you, drugstores like CVS, Duane Reade, and Rite Aid and places like WalMart, Kmart, Target DO TAKE COUPONS too. In case you didn’t already know. I’ll be posting my drugstore adventures next week!
What have you saved on lately? Leave a comment!

Voice Overs in a box…
Posted by TastyKeish | Filed under Blog, Video
I got a box today. It was pertaining to a voice over project I’m working on and even though I technically knew what was inside it didn’t take away the joy of opening something and physically having it in my hands. Also, it shows how much the company is investing in their voice actors by sending quality equipment. So, let’s see….
Check out the video so we can open the box together, I also expand on the project alittle bit:
