tweeting with @BlancoMusicCom!
Posted by TastyKeish | Filed under Blog, Interviews

In case you’re just finding out, i’m a tweet-head. This means I tweet heavily, just like smokers need to go out in the rain and have a toke…I have a tweet. It’s only natural, since I like to talk, share, and make friends. If you think i’m crazy, i’m not about to stop. So turn off your twitter alerts or your cell phone will be buzzing all day.
Which brings me to my 10,000th tweet (which I reached in about 6 months since signing up, thank you very much). Sometimes I give stuff away and do contests, which is another reason you should Follow Me…this time I would give 10 dollars or something like that to that person who sent me that magical tweet. I had no idea it would be a Mr.@BlancoMusicCom, a fellow tweeter from……Madrid, Spain! What does he need 10 AMERICAN DOLLARS FOR?? LOL. So, I had to come up with something else.
@BlancoMusicCom and I agreed on a Twit-Interview so that some of the people that follow me could get an idea of who he is and what he does at a record label that is the anti- label with an anti-sample stance, Blanco Music.

If you’re not in tune with the world around you, let me introduce you to Graph Nobel. The lovely, multi-faceted emcee and singer from Toronto, Canada was in town recently with performing with her group, The Idle Warship (Talib Kweli, Res, and Graph Nobel) at South Paw in Brooklyn, NY to a packed house. See FULL coverage of the show from A to Z, on my music blog HERE.
I caught up with her backstage for a hot second. Check it out:

This holiday season, I’m trying to strike out and do different things with friends and family and so far I’ve enjoyed every part of it. Here are some highlights and things coming up I’d like to share
‘A Monthly Bondfire’ 11.24.09
Every edition of Bondfire is more special than the last, this being no exception. We had cookies, corn muffins, our usual variety top tier open mic artists, we had special guests (Shay Meyer, Gif, Robert Gibbons, and Kalae Allday), AND our feature artists: GNU, and SleepWalkas. There was so much love and talent in the room it was like a warm holiday blanket. Photo by: Joann Gomez
Convent Baptist Church11.26.09
Volunteering is something people always talk about and often don’t follow through on. This year was my year to help. With recession hitting everyone hard, and even myself dining on 10 for 1.00 Ramen Noodles a few more times than is healthy, I decided to do something about it. So, Team Bondfire (Me and The Bronx Über Villain and my cousin Tanya) joined The Beautiful Stranger at Convent Baptist Church in Harlem and helped give out their holiday meals to families in need.
